My photo based book covers are based on the idea of onions having layers as a way to convey the complexity of science and evolution. Each cover consists of an image of an onion in different stages of life, The covers also consist of a repeating pattern of the main image to each corresponding pattern. The book covers are intended to imitate the visuals of images in science textbooks.
